Top VR games
Not every game content adapts equally well to the virtual reality helmet. But many games due to VR mode get a second life. In some shooters, horror or adventure games the effect of presence can shake to the core. The titles described below are good in themselves. At the same time, they convey the charm of virtual reality they best way.
L.A. Noire
This game captivates without glasses of virtual reality. But the version for VR is simply stunning. The fact is that the activity of the protagonist is connected with the study of the terrain: he searches for criminals, inspect of the scene of the incident, interrogate witnesses and suspects, and the searches for evidence. Studying the environment is much more exciting “from within”. The game is perceived quite differently comparing to the flat screen version. Although its graphics has become a little outdated over the years, realistic facial animation is still very impressive. Small details are also nice: for example, you can take off your hat. Or if you want to have some fun, you can put your hat on interlocutor’s head.
DOOM VFR
In this case, it’s not just about adapting the game, but about a new product designed specifically for VR helmets. In the DOOM VFR developers added new locations and even a new story in which consciousness is infused into another body. However, the plot is not so important.
Setting remained the same: hell and the Martian base. But the levels themselves are remade and, of course, they are perceived in a completely new way. Aiming at the opponent with the mouse or stick of the gamepad can not be compared to literally pointing weapons on the monsters and pulling the trigger.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
In our opinion, this is the best game among top VR games. The original game deserves all sorts of praise, but the helmet of virtual reality makes it even more beautiful: the difference between playing on the monitor and playing with VR is colossal here. The feeling of anxiety increases and there appears a fear that someone is hiding behind your back. In addition, the game has become much darker. You can change it with the brightness settings – but you’d better not. Because in the dusk, sensations become aggravated. Imagine what feelings arise when you suddenly encounter a monster in the dark. You will need strong nerves!
