The best RPGs on PC: top 5
The essence of the role-playing game is that the player controls one or more characters, endowed with certain properties and skills. Characteristics of heroes can be improved in the course of the game, and the action of the game unfolds within the framework of a certain story, most often fairy or fantastic.
Pillars of Eternity
Although the graphics in this game a bit like the aesthetics of the 90s, but the game script is designed simply masterfully. Obsidian Entertainment studio managed to create a wonderful and fascinating story, which raises questions of religious conflicts and social inequality. It’s the plot that makes this release one of the best RPGs on PC.
South Park: The Stick of Truth
This release should not have been successful. Most of the projects created under the license, turn out to be disgusting. The role-playing game, based on the cartoon series with primitive animation and an abundance of curses, was doomed to failure. But “Stick of Truth” suddenly became a hit. The reason for this is the good work of the Obsidian studio, which managed to integrate the world of “South Park” into the RPG framework.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
In this historic role-playing game, which takes place in the expanses of Bohemia in 1403, we control a peasant named Henry, who turns out to be involved in the battle for his motherland. This is a detailed game with a deeply developed sword fighting mechanism, thirst and hunger mechanics, an excellent craft and a many equipment slots that are as authentic as possible.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
In many RPGs, lone wanderers act as protagonists, but you rarely meet the game with a story told as skillfully as in The Witcher 3. The case, first of all, in a picturesque setting where you can admire the sunsets and incredibly beautiful forests for a long time. But the main advantage of “The Witcher 3” is that the game is populated by numerous NPCs that will entertain you with memorable quests.
Divinity: Original Sin 2
This game is interesting, above all, because of the unprecedented freedom of the character’s actions. Practically every ability has an alternative (and sometimes rather unexpected) use, which can be revealed in the heat of a fight. You can enjoy insane experiments and tactical battles in the company of up to four people. Definitely one of the best RPGs on PC.
