You will be seeing Agent 47 again in the sequel of the Hitman game. IO Interactive and Warner Bros have announced the release of Hitman 2 and the game is expected to be released on the 13th of November 2018.
IO interactive has revealed that the story of Hitman 2 silent assassin will continue from where the story of the previous Hitman left off where Agent 47 was trying to get a hold on the mysterious Shadow Client. However, they have also announced in their game’s livestream that the sequel will not be in same format as its previous version and will not consist of various episodes.
The game will involve contract killings, blasts from the past, sun drenched locations and a lot of action. We can only wait until the release of the game.
Gameplay of Hitman 2
As mentioned earlier, Hitman 2 will not be following the episodic format as its previous season, Hitman Snipper did. Still, the gameplay is mission based and, on each level, Agent 47 will be given a set of tasks to complete. Almost each level requires assassination of at least one person by setting up traps which could include poisoning or silently killing off the target.
In Hitman 2, the main character i.e. Agent 47 does not only run around with guns. He can also disguise himself, plan assassinations, set up traps, and much more. The gameplay of Hitman 2 also involves blending in with the surroundings which will be monitored through the “Suspicion Bar”. If the suspicion gets too high, then the cover of your main character will blow off and you will not be able to continue the game in the same disguise.
Another thing about the gameplay of Hitman 2, that is rather interesting is its post mission ranking system. This ranking system will rank you between a silent assassin and a mass murderer depending upon how discreet or aggressive you were during the level. Your goal is to be as silent as possible and avoid non target assassinations to score well. You will also be rewarded for your game plan, problem solving and critical thinking skills with bonus weapons. The reason behind this is to encourage the players to treat this game as something that is more than a simple shooting mission. The game is very reality based to you will not be able to conceal the big weapons so, you will require critical thinking skills to choose the correct weapons and the correct disguise for it.
